How to Draw Cartoons
(It's not as hard as you might think)
| Beginning with a pencil, draw a circle.
This will be the foundation for your cartoon face. (See? I told you
this isn't hard!) |
 |
| Draw a vertical line through the middle
of the circle to split it in half. |
 |
| Now, draw a horizontal line through the
circle close to the bottom. This line is where you will place the
character's eyes. |
 |
| Now, give your cartoon some eyes (your
cartoon needs to see, doesn't he??) Next begin to fill in the
character's jaw line. |
 |
Next, you can add some eyebrows, nose,
mouth, and finally some ears
(I guess he needs to hear as well). |
 |
| All the cartoon face needs now is some
hair (you don't want him to be bald do you). |
 |
| Finally, you need to get a black pen
and ink over the pencil lines to complete the picture. |
 |
| These are steps that I use
when I draw, but you can create different eye, nose, ear, hair, and
face shapes to create any character you can imagine. The only limit
is your own imagination.
